The Italian National Park “5 TERRE” will be manage by AITR’ members according to the responsible tourism principles

AITR
has the great pleasure to announce that its member Atlantide together with the Consortium ATI 5 Terre (made up of the cooperatives Ragazze del Parco, Vernazza 2010, Manario 2002, Turismo Sostenibile 5 Terre) have won the call for proposals for the management of the very well-known National Park of“Cinque Terrre” in Italy.

This is the result of a team work that they have done together, with a special role of the Regional Manager of  Legacoop Tourism, Roberto La Marca and with the support of some of AITR’ members Legambiente and WWF, as well as the same AITR.

Atlantide has made available its expertise and innovative ideas.

The four local cooperatives (two Legacoop, two Confcooperative) have fielded their knowledge of the area and their valuable experience gained over the years. This is a great result.

The services provided by the project relate to the information, the sale of tickets and cards, communication, creation of the Center for Environmental Education, the sale of local food products, the management of the Marine Protected Area, but also include the promotion and marketing, building itineraries and suggestions for visitors, collaborative efforts with local tourism operators and involvement of the entire population, vocational training.

The basic idea is to build a hosting community, in harmony with our principles and our ideas of Responsible Tourism.

Congratulations to AITR and all its members for this great success!
