This meeting will present the results of this 2 year project that has created a “Memorandum of Understanding – ECVET for the European qualification in the nature-based and rural tourism sector”, formal agreement for assessment, transfer, and accumulation of learning outcomes achieved by professionals for the transfer of their skills, competences in their European mobility.
The project is an ECVET (European credit for vocational education and training) process to put in transparency and recognize across Europe the learning outcomes and the qualifications of the professional figures in the nature-based tourism and the tourism in the European rural areas.
The main aim of ENS was to define and validate rural and nature tourism professionals competences through a system of credits recognized at first within the partnership countries (Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria and Latvia) and eventually at EU level.
On the basis of theses researches, the partners of ENS has created a system that encourages and facilitates the European mobility for workers in the fields on rural tourism nature-based tourism.
It’s expected that these activities will enhance the mobility of nature-based tourism professionals, contributing to the emergence of generally accepted qualifications and training standards. The foreseeable impact of the project on the target groups is significant, during the project (at least 100 nature-based tourism professionals across Europe, of which 40 in Italy and 20 in each of the other participating country).
The event will welcome representatives from the European Commission, entrepreneurial associations, public bodies for education training, professionals, media and awarding bodies that provide certification in the field of nature-based tourism and the tourism in the European rural areas.
This meeting is opened to organizations working or interested in the sustainable tourism field.
