Our Spanish member Koan Consulting together with other Spanish partners and our network EARTH is launch the cultural event about Spanish food “Eat Spain Up” ! The event will be organised in sessions including exhibitions, screenings, tastings, round tables, workshops and special menus in selected restaurants.
Taking place in Stockholm from 25-27 of March, 2014, the Spanish Food Culture will take the stage with the Eat Spain up! sessions, a multidisciplinary event that aims to bring the Swedish public closer to Spain’s food culture.
The guest chefs from Spain will share their recipes and vision with the public, who can also enjoy screenings, photography exhibitions, book collections, workshops , product tastings, etc.
A selection of Stockholm’s best Spanish restaurants will offer specials inspired in our invited regions and participants will find a number of food-related surprises to enjoy.
Stockholm’s main culinary institutions will host cooking workshops with the chefs, who will introduce participants to Spanish food products, traditions and new interpretations.
The sessions will travel across different Spanish regions. The visitor will discover their culinary traditions, their products, their landscapes, their way of life and their passion for sharing it around their food and their wine. The event promotes also local products and traditional dishes of the Spanish Gastronomy!
Eat Spain up! is an initiative supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, the Instituto Cervantes of Stockholm, the Spanish Embassy and other relevant institutions and businesses.
Designed as an open and participatory event, Eat Spain up! is open to professionals, students, journalists , foodies or public interested in discovering more about Spain’s culture and gastronomy; a great opportunity to discover Spain’s food beyond tapas; an event that no foodie can afford to miss.
